Iris Dragan has been a teacher of Polynesian dance for many years. She has been active in teaching in the elementry grades in both Modesto and Redwood City and holds a California Life Credential in Education.

She has been teching private classes in Polynesian dance for the Redwood City Recreation Department.

Her interest in Polynesian dance includes study with Kalesi h You and Erena Mapuhi of the Polynesian Culture Center at Laie, Oahu; Emma Sharpe of Lahaine, Maui, and Harriet Haleaka Spalding, formerly of Hilo, Hawaii. Iris has also attended workshops with Winona Beamer of Honolulu and Lanakila Brandt of Hilo, Hawaii.

Iris directs a group that demonstrates Polynesian dances at schools, hospitals, and other community organizations.
