Arsen Anooshian 1966

Arsen Anooshian was a teacher in a Manhattan high school. He instructed community groups in Armenian dancing at night.

Baron Arsen Annooshian preserved dances from historical Armenia in its original form, with no modification and no choreography. The Armenian Folk Dance Society performed at the 1939 and 1964 World's Fair in New York. Tamzara was one of the Societies favorite dances.

He taught at the Maine Folk Dance Camp 1987 and at Beaver Folk Dancing.

Arsen was the last director of The Armenian Folk Dance Society of New York.

Dances Arsen taught include Akheltskha Vart, Arabkir Bar, Laz Bar, and Tamzara.
