The following is the presentation information AMAN provided to the Music Center Education Division (MCED) online Artist Directory for the 2004-2005 performance season.
ASSEMBLY
The AMAN International Folk Ensemble is renowned for its unique presentation of dances, music, and folklore from regions around the world. In the its performance, Passing It On, the nine-member company examines the ways in which dance, music, and other traditions are passed from person to person, generation to generation, across cultures and through time. The presentation also explores the vocabulary of dance and the evolution that takes place as each succeeding generation adds its own unique touch to traditional dance and music.

FOLK DANCE WORKSHOP
The AMAN International Folk Ensemble, sends members of its internationally known company to teach folk dance workshops from a variety of ethnic heritages around the world. Instructors introduce students to ethnic instruments, music, customs, dress, and daily life of a selected country or culture.
Price: $67.50 per 45-minute workshop plus possible planning fee.

Availability: Year Round
Note: Minimum four workshops per day required
